Hopefully these links suffice until we get around to reorganizing everything again. :)

KAZAHANA: Merciless

Tuesday, April 27th, 2010

I’m glad to finally be able to release this. Special thanks to Vegaman, G-force, Nikki Wright, Nick Tiner, and Lucien Doge for the amazing voice work, but my deepest appreciation goes to Max who really help push production on this animation with his art. Hopefully getting this out there ends my own personal creative funk. :) Hope you enjoy.

Breaking the Artist’s Block on 4/27

Friday, April 9th, 2010

“KAZAHANA: Merciless” is a flash animation that has nearly been the death of my personal artistic endeavors. Work on this piece was started almost 3 years ago, but the production went through a number of setbacks due to conflicts with work and just a general loss of interest and motivation.
This piece however contains some awesome voice acting by G-Force, Nick Tiner, Lucien Dodge, Nikki Wright, and especially Vegaman. Many of the scenes were also taken over by Max who eventually helped me work on the project again for a short period. Yet it’s been getting more and more difficult for me to complete this animation. Being from years back, some of the visuals look relatively dated. Somehow I’m not as happy with the script as I once was, and the general interest behind the KAZAHANA project has fizzled a bit. I’ve even contemplated abandoning the project at one point and moving on, but too much work had been done on it to call it quits. I couldn’t commit to any other projects due to this, and found myself in a deep rut. If artist’s block does exist, I hit it pretty bad. With that said, I definitely feel that it’s time to bring closure to this KAZAHANA flash. Thus, I plan to work on this piece for a few more weeks, until I release it at whatever state it will be in on 4/27/2010 even if it’s incomplete.

I’ll do my best to wrap up the piece, to move on to more projects for the site.
